Twenty years experience in labor and employee relations. Has participated public and private sector matters in labor relations and employee benefit fund matters, including administrative hearings, contract negotiations, arbitration, collection, and employment practices. Participated in scores of litigations, labor and benefit fund proceedings including collection and withdrawal liability matters before the NLRB, PERB, PERC, arbitrators, state and federal courts. Counseled and advised Taft-Hartley Trust Fund Trustees on various matters concerning ERISA, COBRA, and HIPAA. Has been a professional trustee for Taft-Hartley Trust Funds. Prior to starting Steven C. Kasarda, P.C. and The Kasarda Law Group, LLC., was an associate at O’Dwyer and Bernstein, LLP and In-House Counsel of the New York District Council of Carpenters Benefit Funds. Prior to attending law school worked for management in the transportation industry.
